Ellington Underground was formerly an intimate and progressive live music club downstairs from the historic downtown Asheville S&W Cafeteria, built in 1929. EU showcased national/international touring, emerging, and local artists.

B R A N D

Ellington Underground took its name from the S&W architect, Douglas Ellington who is noted for his work in the Art Deco style. The venue wanted their brand to reflect the original elements and colors from the 1929 S&W building.
